About the Practice

Dr. Sarah Kennealy—frequently called Dr. K by her patients—is honored to provide high-quality dental care for the community she has always called home. An Alexandria native through and through, she grew up in the local area and is a proud graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Her professional journey began at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, before completing her dental education at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since she began practicing dentistry in 2012, Dr. Kennealy has remained committed to a conservative, patient-first approach, ensuring that every recommendation is made with the long-term health and comfort of the patient in mind.

As the leader of a woman-owned, independent practice, Dr. Kennealy emphasizes a friendly and close-knit office culture that feels more like a community than a corporation. As her father is from Costa Rica, she is especially proud to offer a bilingual environment where Spanish-speaking families feel welcomed and fully understood. Whether she is performing a gentle first dental evaluation for a baby or restorative work for a senior, her mission is to help every generation feel completely at ease.

Outside the office, Dr. Kennealy’s life is joyfully centered around her family. She and her husband are the proud parents of four active children—three boys and one girl. On the weekends, you will probably find her cheering from the sidelines or driving her kids to their various sports practices. When she finds a moment for herself, she enjoys staying active by running through the neighborhood. Known at the practice for always having a smile on her face, Dr. K brings that same warmth and positivity to every appointment.
